As a Texas Wedding Photographer I’ve noticed brides have been totally forgetting about time change & I want to share just how that can effect your wedding day! Daylight Savings went into effect on November 6th & ever since then the sun sets so much earlier in the day, than what were used to! So I’m here to help out all the brides for Spring & all the upcoming brides planning their Fall & Winter Weddings!
So… How does Daylight Savings effect your wedding day?
If you start your wedding ceremony too late in the evening, the sun might be set before you have time to get to those formal photos after your ceremony. So to ensure you have enough time on your wedding day, I would suggest reviewing the sunset time for your wedding day & making sure you have at least 45 minutes to an hour for photos after your ceremony. However, If you’re planning to have a later ceremony time, I would suggest doing a first look with your partner & then knocking out a few of those formal photos prior to the ceremony to save yourself time for later in the evening!
What should my Wedding Timeline look like for daylight savings?
Depending on what all you want photographed during your wedding day & how your timeline flows everything will depend on the amount of hours your wedding photographer is there for & this will vary from couple & couple.
Example 9 hour Traditional Wedding Timeline:
1:00 p.m.- Photographer Arrives. Details & Getting Ready Photos.
